Memento mori

A rusty dagger, a bleeding cut
A broken rose and a shattered heart
Feathers, black as an oil slick fall like rain
The one thing we all learn in life is pain
Memento mori, never forget this
No one can escape the Grim Reaper’s kiss
But until then, live life to its full
Leave no regrets for what you didn’t do

---

Well, for once something that wasn't too bleak or depressing.

Requested by Khaleedah, as the egotistical person wanted a poem for her birthday.

Memento mori has got two definitions.

1.(italicsLatinremember that you must die.
2.an object, as a skull, serving as a reminder of death or mortality
